About Indian Army
The Indian Army (Hindi: Indian Army) is a land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces.
The President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Army and is commanded by the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), a four-star general. Two officers have been awarded the rank of Field Marshal, a five-star rank, an average position of great honor. The Indian Army originated from the armies of the East India Company, which became the last British Indian Army and the princely armies, which became the National Army after the last independence. The units and regiments of the Indian Army have a diverse history and have participated in numerous battles and campaigns around the world, earning many war and military honors before and after independence.
Indian Army Recruitment 2020
Army Recruitment Rally will be held from 04 May 2020 to 06 May 2020 at Assam Regimental Center, Happy Valley Shillong for the eligible candidates from all the districts of Meghalaya. Online registration is mandatory and will remain open 05 March 2020 to 18 April 2020. Admit cards for the rally will be sent through registered e-mail from 19 April 2020 to 03 May 2020.

Qualification: Aspirants should be10th pass from recognized university or institute.
Selection: Selection will be the basis on Medical Test, Written Test
Interested aspirants can fill the application before the closing date.
Age: Should be 17 ½ to 23 yrs
Height: Aspirant’s height should be a minimum of 157 cms to 160 cms.
Height permissible for Gorkha candidates is 157 Cms.
Weight: Should be a minimum of 48
Chest: Minimum 77(+5 cm expansion)
Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms i.e From inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part on the body are not
acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. In the case of Tatoo of Religious nature, an affidavit on the prescribed format will be submitted by the candidate.
